Katrine is a Program Coordinator who joined the PSE team in April 2015. Born and raised in Norway, her Norwegian father and Danish mother, both gave her a love for travel and experiencing different cultures, as well as love for nature and a strong desire to help others. Katrine graduated from the University of Oslo with a master in law in 2014, writing her thesis on human rights in the Americas. Both at home and abroad, she has worked with numerous organizations, for example with the Peace Corps in Guatemala, where she lived and worked with rural families, and in a free legal aid clinic in Oslo, where she worked with immigration law for over a year. She has also helped give refugee children help with their schoolwork with Save the Children in Norway, and during her last years at law school, she did had an internship in Leon, Nicaragua, working with sugarcane workers labor rights. Katrine was a girls scout for 12 years, is infinitely passionate about human rights, immigration law and development work, speaks four languages, and loves to read, learn and help others.
